“It’s really a new franchise that we developed and launched ourselves. We’ve been in the signage and graphics industry since the mid-80s. We have some of the founding brands for the quick signage market that was developed back then,” says Ray Palmer, COO of Alliance Franchise Brands. “But in those ensuing years of working with all our franchise members and then with the adoption of wide format graphics within the print industry, there was a real need that we kept hearing from our franchise members for good, quality, reliable installation, some contractors, if you will.”
So, the next logical step for Alliance Franchise Brands was to create a solution to that problem. Thus, True Install was born. For some insight on how the franchises work we spoked to Gary Wood, owner of True Install Houston. He’s been experiencing steady demand for their services at his Texas operation.
“Houston is a community of growth and with that growth comes opportunity,” says Wood. “That opportunity comes around with new businesses coming into town, rebrands and remodeling. So, it’s pretty exciting and we’ve enjoyed a lot of growth and wonderful partnerships.” It makes sense when you think about it. In cities where there’s a lot of growth and development, odds are that sign shops need help. And that’s not to downplay the capabilities of sign shops, as we all know, shops all over the nation are more than capable of some great installs.
